Gonna put the disclaimer out that I'm a new player. So far I'm liking it (even if I haven't had much time to play it), but I was curious about something. Is this game similar to Casual Desires in the you can play a pure lesbian playthrough (aka no guys in the sexual sense)?
Yup. By default, a female playthrough is lesbian-only. There will be an option in Act 2 where the player can pick between lesbian or bisexual, which will determine whether or not sex scenes involving men become available.
Another question if I may. Is there a way in the game files to change the player characters name? I managed to pick a name that was already in the game (FYI the name I picked was Maya).
Yes, there will be different endings depending on major choices you make over the course of the story. I'll also be adding unique endings for a few of the side heroines (such as Rena) if the player decides to pursue a romance with them.
Holy Exposition Dump Batman! I mean, I get VN but give me *something* to do to break the monotony. Suggest breaking the expo/dialogue into more manageable segments, a clickable environment with options for extra information.
The animation payoff was disappointing compared to the amount of slogging through mandatory text. Given that it is still in development and this was the public release (not the latest release), I'm willing to go "on faith" that it will improve over time.
Conceptually, the idea is unique based on what I've seen, even if it "borrows" heavily from existing tropes. Kudos to the dev for avoiding yet another "college girls gone wild" game and going with something more original.
Thanks for the feedback! I added the training system (which unlocks early into Act 1) to help give players a break between story bits, but I could certainly look into adding other gameplay elements as well.
Cool i like these games that give you a choice between playing as a women or a man kinda wish games like summertime saga had this option just to up replay ability will review when I test it out later downloading now... So I will be back lol
Is there a way to hide the text box? It blocks a fair bit of the screen during scenes, which can be kind of annoying at times. Other than that, good times so far.
It's possible to hide the text box on PC (middle-mouse button or the H key), but the Android version is currently lacking the same functionality. I can reduce the size of the textbox and perhaps add an additional settings option to remove it entirely.
My apologies for lack of information, I indeed play on a android. I don't know if it's entirely possible, but some games got a small eye icon, when clicked this hides the UI, once clicked on the screen it brings the UI back.

When I try to download the game on Windows it does not work. It either infinitely prepares to download or comes up with an error, and it also doesn't show how much space the game occupies on the download screen like most other games do. Any reason why this is or any way to work around it?
Having this same issue. When I download the game it creates a folder with no game in it. And yeah, it just has a ? where the file size should be on the install screen. :(

I love the game so far and just finished version 0.4! Also I really like how Valerie's personality is when she's loyal and i'm hoping the witch girl (I think her name was Remi or something like that) i hope there is a option soon to make her completely loyal too. I also like how the male protagonist is very kind depending on your choices. I never liked over confident protagonists unless it's for comedy reasons

Slow and boring at the Start. Yashino69 & Ghizguth Are right. the Male MC should be a Bit More Something( seems Like a Below Average Person). But in the dreams it seems that he is a High Intel Person( the Male teacher Seemed to think so ). Tho I would think that even an Average Person would know a Bit of Fighting even if it is just Fist fighting. using a Sword is one Hell of a Lot Different Even if just using Kendo Sword is Hard, Using a real Metal Sword is about 10-50 times Harder. I thought that Most States Schools taught Basic skills like Running and all, this guy did not know How to do many things, or he has that thing where you forgot most of your Life.( sorry but ) for now only 3 stars. I will keep going as i never fail a Game because I think it can be Better. the Other Succubi Looks cute Short of the Horns. those make her look like a B movie lesser Villain reject .
I agree with Ghizguth a little, guys kinda crummy at the start, gets better after a bit in the new world. But I like that he 'grows' a bit as a person as opposed to just staying a dipsh**. Hoping for some variation in the Succubus. Like making her loyal to you alone, or a complete slut. Depending on what each player wants.
The protagonist will see a lot of character development over the course of the story, as they grow more responsible and capable, and are eventually forced to confront their past.
Regarding Valerie's corruption, you can indeed choose between keeping her loyal to you, or turning her into a full slut (similar to other succubi.)
I'll try to play a little longer, but the protagonist has quite a terrible personality for a protagonist... makes me want to just close the game, I hope it'll change at least a little.
I don't know... seems like dumb person who expects world to run as they want, complaining about boss and next thing happening is we find out this person actually messed something and it's actually quite deserved... from the other world it was quite better, especially because of the choices, but I basically don't like VNs and just tried this one randomly... I prefer less linear games.
I wish players had a bit more agency instead of just going through the motions, particularly in a game with a training element. A good story is great and all but at least let us choose when to focus on the story vs when to focus on training.
Thanks for the feedback. An option to skip previously-seen training positions will be coming in the next update (significantly speeding up the training segment), but the ability to choose when to start the training is something I could add in the near future as well.

Both male and female MCs will be able to pay prostitutes for sex. A female MC can also choose to prostitute herself later in the story, so this type of content won't be limited to just Valerie.
In terms of BDSM, dominance/submission points will be given over the course of the game, which will determine whether the MC is on the giving or receiving end of BDSM and other content.
Bi content is planned to be added in the future. A female protagonist, for example, will have the option to have sex with men at various points in the game. This will of course also be easily avoidable, for players who would only like to see lesbian content.
For an initial release I see this much like the back of a book's cover. So far I'm interested in the story. The thing I'm most worried about right now is if combat will actually play a role in the game. I don't think simple dialogue choice boxes like the ones used in the sex scenes have ever worked very well in a VN of any sort. It would be nice to have some sort of combat system however, so I believe a game to take some inspiration from in that regard is Raven's Quest which can be found on Itch. I don't know what other things the game is planning to add but I would certainly recommend taking some pointers from the game I mentioned earlier. My final ending note is a suggestion for an already incorporated feature, sex scenes. It's not bad at all, but I think it could use a bit more flow to it. I think being able to select the five scenes all at once and having them play in the selected order without pause would be a simple yet powerful improvement for future opportunities.
I know I mostly talked about things that could be better so I figure I emphasize one sentiment. The game has a great start so far, I hope it's still great by the end.
Huh, well, I gave this a try on a whim, and I'd say I'm pleasantly surprised thus far. It's rare for a game to have a protagonist gender option, and while I certainly would prefer the male anyway, the female option got my interest so I went with that first.
And it was pretty nice, all things considered. I'm always a little iffy myself on the Daz-style models, but I just always liked Illusion's stuff in general. Still, none of the characters LOOK bad, so that's good.
Writing-wise, I'd say its solid.
The Training System, I think, will maybe be the first thing to really judge in the long run. I do wish there was a 'back' option after you pick a category, in case you're just checking what's there. It's nice that there's different dialogue for the first time a thing is selected.
However, I worry past that, it might get a bit repetitive, since after that its (understandably) generic. But given it seems it could take, say, 10 times of cunnilingus to go up a level, reading the same thing 9 times... well, repetitive. While having more unique dialogue would be fantastic, it's probably more realistic to just see how the 'leveling' curve goes.
About the only small nitpick I have on the female MC route thus far is in terms of breast size. It might be a Daz-model thing, but her size seems to kind of... vary between sequences. The bit about the peasant dress being tight on the chest, implies to me, a rather large chest, but in the scenes with Valerie she seems a lot more on the small size.
I'm not sure how realistic it might be, but an option of some protagonist customization with that could be nice. But I am unsure how much that might add to the overall workflow. It would be nice to have a busty female protagonist though, but that is just always a personal thing.
I'll have to give male MC a try later, but thought I'd at least give some thoughts on what I saw on the female MC route thus far, as its a rarity in games like this but, thus far, appreciated.

You bring up a good point with regards to the training system potentially becoming repetitive. While there are only two variants to the dialogue for each option so far, I would like to add new versions of existing poses that become unlocked as Valerie's sexual stats level up (i.e. fingerbang level 1, fingerbang level 2). I may also increase the amount of XP earned per action, so that players won't feel like they are continually grinding the same actions without change.
I'll double-check the female MC's boob size. It's possible that there were some small changes in between renders, in which case I'll be updating the next game version with new renders that are more consistent.
Further character customization (i.e. boob size or skin color) is certainly something that could be added to the game later on.
ive played both sides of the story and my only suggestion i can think of at this time is to add a strapon or futa to the female side of the game , either on the protagonist or the succubus for more dynamic relationships as theres no real way currently to take her cherry as a female ,but im sure you already thought of this , other then that , both sides are well made and interesting and il look out for more content :P happy creating

The corruption path will involve Valerie using dark magic frequently (often for selfish purposes), as well as becoming much more perverted. Over time, she can gradually assume more of a demonic appearance, with a tail, wings, horns, and potentially even a womb tattoo.
Of course, the love route will feature plenty of sexual content as well, but corrupting her opens the game to various other, more 'hardcore' fetishes.
Both. You can select between either a male or female protagonist at the start of the game. Rebel Duet is viewed primarily from a first-person perspective, with Valerie (the redhead featured in the pictures) being your succubus companion.

Played through as both a male and female and there isnt much difference yet cant wait to see what you come up with later this story has potential

The choice near the end of the current version gives +2 love points or +2 corruption points, but this will not lock players into a route yet.
There will be plenty more options that can give points in either direction, with the routes to diverge later in Act 2.
