Casual Desires (CD) is an erotic visual novel, focused primarily on our half-Japanese, half-German protagonist, and her growing perversions and exhibitionist tendencies. Casual Desires takes influence from both Japanese and western visual novels, and seeks to tell a sexy and cheerful story, with occasional dramatic moments.

Characters
The Protagonist: Her name is Rita by default, but the player may choose her name at the start. Almost 19 years old, she is the daughter of a wealthy German father and Japanese mother. Her family moved to Vancouver before she was born. Energetic and friendly, she has a high sex drive, including a porn addiction and exhibitionism fetish. The player's decisions will determine her sexuality, as well as how slutty she becomes.
Violet: A cooler, more determined girl who will freely use self-defense in the event of a pervert or molester. Violet works at a local café, and has a moderate degree of sexual experience. Her boyfriend wishes to try new and perverted things with her. How much she obliges with his requests, however, is up to you...
Haruka: The protagonist's closest female friend, whom she met while studying abroad in Japan during middle school. Haruka is studious and diligent, and recently moved to Vancouver for university. There is a possibility that Haruka may be interested in the protagonist as more than just friends.
Luna: While similar to the protagonist in personality, Luna shares neither the porn addiction nor the kinks. This makes her as innocent as a girl can be, as she has never even kissed before. Luna works at a local café along with Violet, who frequently teases Luna for her naivety. Her main goal is to save enough money for tuition, as she will soon be starting her first year of university.
Many other characters exist as sexual/romantic options as well, including Mia (an outdoorsy girl with a lesbian twist), Josh and Connor (the protagonist's close male friends), her two male bosses, a fellow model, and more!

Features
- Two main routes the player can follow: the straight route, and the lesbian route. It is also possible to mix and match these for a bisexual playthrough.
- An optional 'Lesbian Mode' toggle to keep things girls-only.
- A stats screen that tracks the protagonist's entire sexual history, including how many people she has slept with, blowjobs given, etc.
- Selectable sexual background. It is up to you whether she starts as a virgin, or with one of several other options determining her history.
- Optional virginity loss for all available sex scenes. It is possible to play the entire game as a virgin, or to only engage in anal sex or foreplay.
- Romance between the protagonist and male or female characters, which will soon include options for full relationships, as well as potential harem outcomes.
Overall, Casual Desires is envisioned as a three act story that covers roughly one year of in-game time. Currently, the story is ~70% complete.
As of version 0.20, there is over 190k words of dialogue and 5300 unique images. This means there is currently between 10-15 hours of content available.

I thought the casual desires was a free game? I have all the other releases, got email that there was a new update, yet now i look and you have to pay for updates?
I just finished playing through chapter 20, and I have a few questions:
- Side LIs (such as Mia, Lucas, Lucy, and Sara) will be available to be in an actual relationship (whether is monogamous and/or open)? Or they're going to be just a one-night-stand/FWB type of relationship?
I'm really hoping we can add them in the harem/open-relationship... 🙏🏼 hahaha
- Other than Violet (and I guess Josh&Connor), if the player/MC opted for the harem/open-relationship, will she inform the others or will it be kind of an unspoken agreement between all of them?
- Are you planning to add pregnancy, either in the next chapters or as an epilogue?
- And lastly, can we have more scenes with Sara and Lucy, both SFW and NSFW?
OBS.: I forgot to ask another thing: can you add a way to delete the saves? Whether is using the "delete" button on the keyboard or put a function inside the game where we can delete the saves.
Having to open the game directory and manually delete the saves & persistent file, doesn't work on my PC....
Paid $5 and won't work on Mac. Any suggestions?

Disappointed that to commit to a relationship with Luna took all the way till chapter 20,she's adorable and wanted to make her the girlfriend as soon as the choice was available,don't find the male characters appealing for the mc either the modelling boss comes of as a creep most times,no intrest in the cafe boss and the 2 male best friends are just meh,so i opt for the lesbian route,also when is the next chapter due to come out and how many acts in total?

Next chapter is planned for summer and will coincide with the Steam launch. Act 3 is the final part of the game, but there's still quite a few chapters left before we get into the endings.
I am a long time lurker and am the occasional patreon supporter - and yes I paid for this release. Chapter 20 is a nice addition to the story line although at times it did feel a bit rushed. The earlier chapters have a certain love and feel that appears to be noticeably absent in the latest release. The length of the chapter seems to be similar to the earleir releases with the glaring exception of the development time - 1 year and 4 months to develop a single chapter. That is simply abominable showing in effort and dedication. Perhaps with the shift to the for pay pricing model and the eventual Steam offering; it is hoped that future updates would be released in a shorter time frame, say quarterly instead of year plus.
On a lighter note - the shameless advertising insert of Rebel Duet in the game, admittedly, is nicely executed.
Question is there any other jobs in episode 1 other than the modeling job or am I missing a lot of content if I don't do the modeling gig? I always picked it so I wanted to double check with you just in case ^_^
Nah, Chapter 1 is pretty linear overall. The MC will always become a model, although you get to determine her actions within the job. I might add an option in a future update where the MC can avoid becoming a model altogether.
I saw the possibility of getting a Steam key for the game, I did buy it here, so is it possible to get a Steam key for the game

I like the modeling of the heroine Rita's mother and Haruka's mother. I hope there will be more stories of two mothers or a story game of their mother's generation in the future!

Hi, and thanks for the question! If you buy Casual Desires on itch, you get permanent access to the game and all its future updates. This means that when Chapter 21, Chapter 22, etc. are released, you can simply download them from itch as soon as they're uploaded.

I can't say that I'm surprised to see that the end of March 2025 promised deadline came and went. 1 Year and 4 months later and we're all still waiting for some sort of update whereas the other game - Rebel Duet - seems to get all the love and attention. Just to manage everyone's expectations, it may be worth considering putting this game on hiatus for another year so that you can refocus on your goals/priorities as it's very clear that this game is not near and dear to your heart nor is it a priority.
I do feel sorry for the initial patreon and paying supporters. The return on investment is quite dismal.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. 1 plus year development time with nothing to show for. Given the lack of progress and minimal updates (compared to Rebel Duet), it's very likely that we won't see an update for this game much less any releases on Steam. You may want to consider changing the Patreon description so that it accurately states that 100% of the funds are destined for Rebel Duet development.

Daz Studio, mainly an older version (4.15) but some of the later scenes are created in 4.23.

No, it's still in active development and is planned to be completed by 2026. I have a second project and took some time off from CD last year.

Yes, IonDivvy has promised updates that have never been posted. The excuse is that they are working on Rebel Duet. I am all for letting developers extend deadlines. But at this rate, it would seem that they are struggling with developing two games. And have chosen a game to fully develop while letting this game wait. I'd consider this game abandoned until either there is an actual update or an actual response to the community.
IonDivvy, I understand there maybe some hostility towards some of us who have been more negative towards the way you've handled this game. I do not believe it was your intention to abandon this game. Game developers I've known have expressed how it's easy to underestimate workloads and assume deadly will be easy to hit. I can not speak for everyone else who is bothered by the treatment of this game, but I can for me. If you were to put out a statement it may help the situation. All we need is an explanation and an apology. You can not keep telling people that this game is not abandoned while not acknowledging what's going on.
I understand that this game is free, but you have a patreon. There are people funding you who want this game to be finished, same with Rebel Duet. You may have bitten off more than you can chew, but a statement at the very least may calm some nerves.

I'm very glad to have read the comments regarding this game, the truth is that I honestly believe that this game is already dead or that's how I see it, my advice to people who think of downloading it would be not to do it unless you have money and if you have money it is always better to try it.
Yes, I'm sure if the programmer hasn't made an appearance here in five days, the game is obviously dead.
Pretty entitled, for someone who gets it either free, or for the cost of a coffee or two.
If others ever thought of making a game like this, comments like these would certainly ensure they don't.

At the time I replied to the "this game is dead" post, the game owner had answered other questions 5 days previous, so I found it a bit funny that someone would think a game abandoned, with the author practically "right there in the room". I have other games that haven't been updated since 2023... THOSE I might consider abandoned, but this game is still very much alive, as far as I'm concerned. If I see 2 or more significant updates a year, it's a healthy game.
It's dead mate. There's no progress at all and zero updates nevermind major ones. Just look at the dev logs and it's quite telling compared to Rebel Duet. Just because someone "responds" does not automatically translates to actual work being done to the game.
Haven’t finished the game yet, so the question may be invalid. Would the MC ever explore the options of things like tattoos and piercings? Or is this something you don’t want to have in this game?
I could explore this as an option in the final chapters and endings. Until now, I've mostly held off on having permanent variations of Rita's appearance since it would double (triple, etc.) the amount of renders required and consequently the file size of the game.
Totally understandable. Assuming the rendering was done in real time, you could’ve just swapped some assets, but if that’s not the case, I fully support the decision to focus on the core game first an foremost. Perhapse, would be interesting to see her exploring some other kinks as special bonus scenes unlocked at the end.

Even if this does eventually get updated I get the feeling it's not gonna have the same passion and care it was once given. There was talk in the RD comment section about this game being abandoned, dev said ch. 20 would be after 0.8 of RD. That happened in august, and RD got another update before ch. 20 of CD came out. Someone mentioned how it seemed like the dev was trying to milk extra money since they were pushing so hard to get it priced and on steam. I started to wonder if that comment had some truth and called them out on it in the RD comment section, that comment got deleted pretty quick for it to stay "on topic." This has been a big downhill, RD is worse than CD imo and yet that's the one getting all the focus.
Casual Desires is currently a free game that I develop as a hobby. That will change with the Steam release, but until now it's been logistically difficult to devote the same amount of time as RD.
By the same logic, Rebel Duet is also a "free game" and yet it has been given an absurd amount of development time. Looking over at some of the posts, it seems as though you have a devout following for Casual Desire, some of which are paid supporters whether it be via Patreon or otherwise. It feels as though you're burned out and have lost interest in developing Casual Desire. CrubMuncher and Trf95 have excellent points and your lack of progress is telling.
As a soon to be former patreon supporter - perhaps it might have been better to finish one project before starting another. Alternatively, you could have easily given the project over to someone else, say, the modder Homatoz or someone else who shows more passion (or lack thereof) for the game than you do
Bare in mind that Rebel Duet only has a limited demo for free.

Are you sure? It sure does feel like it's been abandoned as the last chapter was released almost a year ago. Given all the work that has been done to "Rebel Duet", I speculate that the next chapter would be of similar length to the previous releases; which is to say, somewhat disappointing.

You'd think so but looking at the posts below, there looks like there's a string of broken promises and missed deadlines. Likely due to the dev abandoning this gem in favor of Rebel Duet. I mean one year development time for one chapter versus almost monthly updates for Rebel? Changes are that the dev will likely miss the deadline again and probably go straight to the steam launch instead. My GF always says actions speak louder than words

will we see the pizza girl again. I was shock when Debbie (Rita) had order food and a boy came to deliver her food and not the Pizza girl. I was doing the Lesbian mode when the boy came to the door.

I actually got a idea on how Rita could be interested in girls- high school experience. Rita could be shown getting to know someone in a library or maybe the cafeteria. They could get to know each other and then something happened and maybe they had a break-up but they ended up on good terms since the other girl moved out of Vancouver or something like that.
Idk just something that came to mind- you don't have to go with my idea but it's the best I could come up with!!

I have created another version of my mod, and I have good and bad news.
Bad news - old saves are no longer compatible with the mod. I have changed so much during this time that it is easier to forbid them from loading than to try to make them work correctly.
Good news - the mod now has an advanced skipper that allows you to start reading from any chapter that was previously read. You will only need to make a small, but general choice, and you will start from the selected chapter, receiving all the required stats.
Of course, this is not the same as making your own choices on every event, but it is an ideal approximation for players who go to extremes.
